Starting immediately and running until at least the end of the academic year in July 2025, this role will immerse you in school life and see you working closely with an experienced Science department to support students and develop your teaching skills.

What you will do as a Science Teaching Assistant:- Support students in the classroom, providing 1:1 or small group interventions to boost understanding and confidence.
- Help manage behaviour in line with school policies, supporting a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the Science department to design lessons and create engaging resources.
- Assist with exam preparation, including analysing mock papers and identifying areas for improvement.
- Observe and participate in lessons to understand the day-to-day realities of being a teacher.
- Participate in departmental meetings or training sessions as required.
What we are looking for in a Science Teaching Assistant:- A Science graduate with a strong academic background in Science including a minimum of a 2:1 degree and strong grades at GCSE and A-Level.
- A passion for education and a desire to inspire the next generation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, organised and enthusiastic approach to supporting learners.
